Job Title: Customer Retention Strategist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute data-driven engagement strategies to boost user retention, increase app usage, and drive revenue growth.
  • Create personalized experiences through gamification, behavioral nudges, and loyalty frameworks to foster long-term relationships with users.
  • Drive successful referral programs that enhance brand awareness and attract high-intent users.
  • Identify and implement effective reactivation workflows for dormant or inactive users.
  • Partner with Product and Design teams to integrate in-app features that reinforce engagement and customer satisfaction.
  • Design and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as returning user rates, engagement frequency, and churn recovery rates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize lifecycle touchpoints based on user behavior and business goals.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in fintech, consumer apps, or related industries.
  • 3–5 years of experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM, growth, or product marketing, preferably with a focus on user retention and engagement.
  • Strong understanding of fintech consumer motivations and behaviors.
  • Proficiency in analyzing user journey data to define product affinity and intent segments.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation and analytics tools such as MoEngage, WebEngage, Clevertap, Mixpanel.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Product, Data, Design, and Content teams to deliver seamless execution.
  • Experience in designing and tracking loyalty metrics and reporting dashboards.

Good to Have:

  • Experience in deploying gamified engagement models or behavioral nudges.
  • Exposure to tier 2–4 Indian audiences, especially for vernacular and low-tech segments.
  • Understanding of rewards mechanics and their impact on user behavior.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Significant increases in returning user base and app re-engagement rates.
  • Consistent improvement in app usage metrics such as DAU, MAU, and session time.
  • Effective loyalty mechanisms driving feature repeatability and higher adoption of cross-sell products.
  • Reduced churn and improved reactivation of dormant users.
