Cloud Infrastructure Specialist Role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on the Microsoft Azure platform.

The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying Azure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure Functions. They will also monitor cloud performance, ensuring optimal system operation, and optimize cloud resources to improve performance and reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deploy scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on Azure.
  • Implement Azure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure Functions.
  • Monitor cloud performance, ensuring optimal system operation.
  • Optimise cloud resources to improve performance and reduce costs.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
  • Automate deployments and workflows using Azure DevOps, PowerShell, or other scripting tools.
  • Implement robust cloud security measures, including Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, and Key Vault.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud services.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing Azure-based solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure core services: Compute, Networking, Storage, and Identity Management.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
  • Experience with DevOps tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
  • Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
