Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced cloud infrastructure specialist to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our client's cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.

Clients Overview

Our clients span various industries including distribution, manufacturing, primary produce, energy sector, resourcing, healthcare, finance, and more. Their project needs vary from configuring and integrating established software packages into their environment to custom software development to meet their product or business outcome.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Design and Implementation:
  • Design and deploy scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on Azure.
  • Implement Azure services including Virtual Machines, App Services, Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Functions.
  • Monitoring and Optimization:
  • Monitor cloud performance ensuring optimal system operation.
  • Optimise cloud resources to improve performance and reduce costs.
  • Automation and DevOps:
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
  • Automate deployments and workflows using Azure DevOps, PowerShell, or other scripting tools.
  • Security and Compliance:
  • Implement robust cloud security measures as appropriate to the solution risk profile including Security Center, Sentinel, and Key Vault.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration and Troubleshooting:
  • Work closely with developers architects and stakeholders to deliver cloud solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated with the latest Azure services and industry best practices.
  • Provide recommendations to enhance existing cloud solutions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud services.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing Azure-based solutions.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of Azure core services: Compute Networking Storage and Identity Management.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation e.g. PowerShell Python.
  • Experience with DevOps tools like Azure DevOps Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration e.g. Docker Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts e.g. VPN VNET load balancers.
  • Certifications Preferred:
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
