Job Title:

Facade Access Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Facade Access Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain experience providing facade access advice and design expertise on challenging projects.

The Facade Access Specialist will be responsible for liaising with the wider design team to advise on the integration of facade access systems into the project, leading the design to achieve the optimal combination of cost, aesthetic impact, and functionality, while following best health and safety practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with the wider design team to advise on the integration of facade access systems into the project.
  • Leading the design to achieve the optimal combination of cost, aesthetic impact, and functionality, while following best health and safety practices.
  • Preparing facade access strategy reports at key stages of the design of the project.
  • Preparing Employer's Requirements Documentation and System Specifications for facade access and facade replacement systems at the end of the design stage.
  • Reviewing contractor drawings and inspecting site throughout the construction process to ensure compliance to the spec, the design intent, and the relevant legislation.
  • Managing multiple facade access consulting projects simultaneously and working directly with clients.
  • Conducting research on industry trends and currently available technologies used in facade access.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience of having worked with facade access systems, either within a consultancy or from a contractor's role.
  • Knowledge of facade access systems, their performance, and operation, as well as current engineering standards, practices, regulations, and legislation.
  • Ability to demonstrate enthusiasm, self-motivation, and a relevant academic background.
  • Competence in AutoCAD and/or Revit and 3D design software.
