Autonomous AI Systems Engineer

We are seeking an experienced leader to spearhead our AI engineering efforts. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with large-scale data systems, strong technical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.

This is a full-time onsite role at our office located in Bengaluru. We are looking for someone who can develop and implement AI-driven agents to automate data workflows and enhance operational efficiency. The successful candidate will design data architectures specifically optimized for AI agent operations and large language model integration.

The selected individual will lead a team of junior engineers, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and code reviews. They will actively write high-quality code alongside the team and participate in performance optimization activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ai-Driven Automation: Develop and implement ai-driven agents to automate data workflows and enhance operational efficiency
• Ai System Architecture: Design data architectures specifically optimized for ai agent operations and large language model integration
• Technical Leadership: Lead a team of 4-5 junior data engineers, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and code reviews
• Hands-On Coding: Actively write high-quality code alongside the team, not just in a supervisory role
• Data Architecture: Design and implement efficient data architectures to handle large and complex datasets
• Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in data processing systems

Qualification & Professional Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or an equivalent discipline
• 3-6 years of experience in data engineering / ai dev roles
• At least 1-2 years of hands-on experience developing ai agents or llm-based automation systems
• Proven experience designing data architectures that support ai operations
• Strong programming skills in python with focus on ai/ml libraries and frameworks
• Experience with vector databases and embeddings for ai applications
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (aws, gcp, or azure) and their ai/ml services
• Experience with prompt engineering and llm optimization techniques
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex ai concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with orchestration frameworks for ai agent workflows (langchain, autogpt, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with ai coding assistants (github copilot, claude, chatgpt) both as tools and as platforms for agent development
• Experience with rag (retrieval augmented generation) implementations
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and how they interface with ai systems
• Experience with containerization and microservices architecture for ai agent deployment
• Background in mlops and ai system monitoring
• Understanding of semantic caching and optimization techniques for llm-based systems
• Experience integrating multiple ai agents into cohesive systems
