Job Title:

A data architect is needed to design and develop a scalable big data pipeline

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the implementation of a high-performance big data platform. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of distributed systems, cloud computing, and data warehousing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop a scalable data pipeline using Python and PySpark
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data engineering solutions
  • Maintain and improve existing data infrastructure, including databases and data warehouses
  • Provide expert-level support for data-related issues and queries

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a data engineer or architect
  • Expertise in Python, PySpark, and SQL
  • Hands-on Python/PySpark coding experience
  • Strong Big Data experience, GCP preferred
  • Telemetry experience
  • Streaming experience with analytics and data processing
  • Business analytics experience and working directly with business partners to implement feedback
  • Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
    • Strong understanding of IoT systems, especially in: Refrigeration units, HVAC systems, Controllers and sensors
    • Familiarity with equipment and systems from Emerson, Honeywell, or similar
    • Ability to explain how data flows through IoT units and how sensors are designed and monitored
