Job Description

This role involves leading the evaluation of businesses, intangible assets and business interests for tax and financial reporting purposes. Key responsibilities include analyzing historical financial results to explain trends and identify risks, challenging assumptions related to future financial projections, and developing discount rates.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration is required; an advanced degree and/or certifications such as MBA, CA or CFA are desirable.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience performing work related to fair value of debt, equity, purchase price allocation and goodwill impairments in a public accounting, consulting or investment banking environment.
  • A fundamental understanding of financial valuation theory and methodologies, including traditional valuation methods such as discounted cash flow method, guideline public company method and transaction method.
  • Experience in valuing contingent consideration and valuation for mergers & acquisitions, and other transactions.
  • Experience in building, analyzing and reviewing financial models for high-level decision-making.
  • Comprehensive experience with financial databases such as Capital IQ, Bloomberg and other high-level tools.
  • Track record of managing multiple high-stakes projects and delivering under tight deadlines.
  • Functional understanding of financial statements analysis with the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats and limitations.
  • Demonstrated technical skills working with financial models in Excel.
