English Teacher Position

The primary role of this position is to provide instructional guidance and support to students in the subject area of English. The teacher will be responsible for designing and delivering lessons, assessing student progress, providing feedback, and facilitating learning experiences that promote knowledge, skills, and understanding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lesson Delivery:
    • Ensure lesson plans are followed with relevant resources and activities.
    • Maintain a safe and productive learning environment for all students.
    • Utilize effective pedagogical approaches to cater to diverse aptitudes, learning styles, and interests of students.
  • Student Administration:
    • Enforce discipline according to established school rules and systems.
    • Foster maximum student participation and assist students in improving their study habits.
    • Monitor basic hygiene and prioritize health matters for each child.
  • Classroom Functioning:
    • Create an engaging and organized learning space through functional displays, bulletin boards, and interest centers.
    • Nurture positive relationships with parents and provide constructive feedback.
  • Secondary Responsibilities: Administration / School Policies:
    • Compile, maintain, and ensure confidentiality of student records.
    • Adhere to and implement school policies as introduced from time to time.
    • Perform additional tasks as requested by the coordinator.
    • Conduct quarterly stock checks of teaching aids with the coordinator.
    • Participate in professional development through internal and external courses, seminars, conferences, and events.
    • Attend meetings convened by the principal and coordinators.
    • Liaise with resource persons and other staff members.
  • Work Relations:
    • Collaborate with the Principal on academic-related matters.
    • Interface with Co-teachers and other staff members as needed.
    • Communicate with Admin, Finance, HR, Technology for operational issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in English with a B.Ed qualification (mandatory).

Desired Experience:

  • 1-4 years of relevant teaching experience (mandatory).
