API Integration Specialist

We are seeking a skilled API integration specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with API-based systems and a strong understanding of project management principles.


About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end API integrations, collaborating with internal teams, and defining integration requirements. They will also be responsible for maintaining and enhancing integration roadmaps, monitoring integration performance, and leading optimisation efforts.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end API integrations with new and existing partners, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with internal IT and commercial teams to support integration processes across all phases.
  • Define, document, and communicate integration requirements clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Maintain and enhance integration roadmaps for key clients and suppliers.
  • Monitor and assess integration performance, identifying areas for improvement and leading optimisation efforts.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience delivering end-to-end API integrations, ideally within the travel technology sector.
  • Strong experience working with API-based systems and understanding of REST/JSON/XML protocols.
  • Solid grasp of project management principles and proficiency with tools such as Jira, ClickUp, Trello, or similar.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple simultaneous integrations and prioritise effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—in English (additional languages such as Spanish are a strong plus).
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while staying highly organised and self-motivated.
