Job Description:

The Programme Manager – Nutrition is a key position that plays a crucial role in leading the development, evaluation, and management of nutrition-focused proposals and grants.

  • The incumbent will lead the development of innovative nutrition concepts and proposals in alignment with the organization's thematic strategy and multi-year grantmaking goals. This includes generating leads, curating problem statements, and co-developing RFPs.
  • A key responsibility of this position is to undertake regular evaluations of relevant concepts and proposals for grantmaking. This involves assessing budget requirements, monitoring program progress, and providing support to grantees as needed.
  • In addition to grantmaking, the Programme Manager – Nutrition will also be responsible for organizing sectoral meetings, roundtables, consultations, and workshops. This includes managing logistics, coordinating with stakeholders, and facilitating discussions.

To be successful in this role, the Programme Manager – Nutrition must have a strong background in public health nutrition, food systems, and related program development. Prior experience in philanthropy and grant making is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have five to ten years of experience in the field and a proven track record of successfully developing and implementing nutrition programs.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (public health, nutrition, food systems, etc.)
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in public health nutrition, food systems, or related fields
  • Prior experience in philanthropy and grant making an asset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
