About the Role

The Senior Data Architect plays a pivotal role in leading our Professional Services team. As a technical lead and trusted advisor, you will work on distributed data business problems at private and public sector organizations. You will engage with customers from early stage conversations to production implementations at large multi-cluster customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evangelize and enable customers on their Enterprise Data Cloud journey
  • Participate in the pre and post sales process, helping both the sales and professional services management teams to interpret customer use cases
  • Assist customers in defining their data strategy, use case success criteria and frameworks to deliver successful implementations
  • Design and implement Enterprise Data Cloud architectures and configurations for customers
  • Identify and grow professional services engagements and support subscriptions through the clear demonstration of value to customers
  • Design, create and recommend standard best practices design patterns for distributed data pipelines and analytical computing architectures
  • Plan and deliver presentations and workshops to customer/internal stakeholders
  • Mentor junior consultants and architects
  • Help define our approach and screen candidates in the technical hiring process
  • Write and produce technical documentation, blogs and knowledge base articles
The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone with a passion for solving real-world problems with cutting-edge technology. The ideal candidate should have extensive customer-facing experience interacting with large-scale distributed data/computing solutions. A strong business understanding of how technologies solve real-world business problems is essential.

Apart from that, we're looking for individuals who appreciate commercial business cases driving customer data platform initiatives, have experience managing project delivery and leading a technical team, and possess solid skills in OS/networking fundamentals. Knowledge of big data/analytical use cases, cloud platforms, and open-source ecosystem programming languages is also a must.

As a bonus, it would be great if you have experience designing frameworks for implementing data transformation and processing solutions, deep knowledge of authentication and authorization configuration for distributed systems, familiarity with BI tools and Data Science notebooks, and knowledge of scripting tools like bash shell scripts or Python.
