Quality Control Manager Job Description

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end Quality Control (QC) operations for all jewellery production units. Your leadership skills and expertise in quality management will enable you to design, develop, and implement advanced QC frameworks incorporating modern technology and tools to enhance inspection accuracy and efficiency.

You will monitor and evaluate quality parameters at every stage of production, including raw materials, semi-finished goods, and final product inspections. Conducting root cause analysis for quality deviations and leading continuous improvement initiatives to address and prevent quality issues are key aspects of this role.

Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including design, production, and merchandising is crucial to maintaining and elevating global quality standards. You will prepare, analyze, and present detailed quality metrics, audit reports, and compliance documentation to senior management.

This role requires developing and implementing comprehensive training programs to upskill QC teams, particularly in the use of technology-based inspection processes and tools. Ensuring compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and customer specifications is also a critical responsibility.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10+ years of proven experience in jewellery quality control and production processes.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing high-performing QC teams.
  • Expertise in problem-solving and data-driven decision making, with an ability to interpret quality data and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Proficiency in technology-driven quality control processes, tools, and systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with multiple departments and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, Jewellery Design, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO standards).
  • Hands-on experience with modern QC tools and software.
  • Knowledge of global jewellery standards and regulations.
