Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a Quality Control Specialist, you will be responsible for performing technical checks on files daily to ensure subtitles conform to industry standards and client requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Verify that language subtitles meet Deluxe guidelines and specific client needs.
  • Evaluate subtitles against reference material and implement necessary instructions to guarantee consistency and error-free output.
  • Maintain an average quality yield of at least 99% throughout the year for all clients.
  • Update work trackers to accurately reflect project status.
  • Ensure timely delivery for all clients.
  • Collaborate with PC and update Project Notes to implement changes or fixes in languages based on errors found.
  • Provide feedback to other users and departments when standard procedures are not followed, ensuring quality measures are implemented upstream.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, both internal and external.
  • Take ownership of your work and adhere to department-specific schedules, guidelines, and demonstrate schedule adherence and attendance.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and coach newer recruits to bring them up to expected quality standards set by the department.
  • Promote teamwork and suggest improvements to the platform or subtitling workflows during your work.
  • Actively participate in job and personal knowledge training programs.
  • Show eagerness and willingness to learn other aspects of the process, such as task assignments and process evaluation, contributing to individual growth.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Exceptional audio sensitivity – ability to understand various English accents.
  • Good comprehension and communication skills.
  • Broad cultural knowledge and wide range of interests.
  • Team player, detail-oriented, able to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint.
  • Good knowledge of computers and internet.
  • Good typing speed and accuracy.
  • Broad cultural knowledge and wide range of interests.
  • Accountable and dependable.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Methodical and disciplined work approach with attention to detail.
