Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Physical Design Engineer to play a key role in the development of next-generation distributed computing infrastructure.

As a senior technical professional, your primary responsibility will be to physically implement large-scale networking and computing semiconductor products.

You will work closely with architects and microarchitects to design and develop complex chip development projects, from setup to delivery.

  • CAD Tool Flow Establishment: Establish and support the cloud-first development environment for physical implementation.
  • Floorplan and Block Partitioning: Collaborate with architects and microarchitects to evaluate trade-offs in functional partitioning, block size, and interface complexity.
  • Physical Structure Design: Define and construct major physical structures, including clock and reset architecture, power delivery network, and interconnect topologies.
  • Implementation Execution: Execute on block-level, cluster-level, and top-level physical implementation, from synthesis to timing closure and physical verification.
  • Interface with Foundry and Library Partners: Collaborate with 3rd party IP and process technology issues, including updates to device models and pre-delivery sign-off.

To succeed in this role, you must have a proven industry experience and successful track record in the physical implementation of large, high-performance network switching/routing fabrics, Network Interface Controllers, Smart-NICs, CPUs, or GPUs in the latest silicon process nodes.

Additionally, you should possess expertise in CAD tools, analysis tools, and scripting languages such as SystemVerilog, Perl, Python, or other relevant technologies.
