Database Administrator Role

We are looking for an experienced database administrator to join our team in Hyderabad. As a key member of the database and reporting engineering team, you will be responsible for managing SQL Server infrastructure.

The team maintains ownership over database and reporting technologies within the organization. The primary responsibilities include creating architecture and design, building infrastructure, monitoring, and providing emergency response.

Key Responsibilities

  • Database performance analysis, query tuning, and optimization.
  • Work on architecture, design, and development with MS SQL Server.
  • Disaster recovery, problem analysis, and troubleshooting, database change management, database emergency response, design, and maintenance of MSSQL and related data technologies.

Requirements

  • A B.E./B.Tech degree in Computer Science and Engineering or other technical disciplines.
  • 7+ years of hands-on database administration experience with MS SQL Server and an understanding of various aspects like infrastructure design, HADR, performance, security, T-SQL scripting, etc.
  • 7+ years of performance tuning and query optimization experience using execution plans, Perfmon, Extended Events, and DMVs.
  • Solid understanding of working with large data sets.
  • 4+ years of experience in implementing highly efficient and scalable database designs by working very closely with application developers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in working with Postgres and MongoDB.
