About the Role

Dogs of Steadfast is a division within the Steadfast Consortium that oversees the training and care of over 10 security dogs. We are seeking a skilled Animal Handler Lead to join our team at our Noida location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily care and management of the security dogs, ensuring their well-being and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Supervise and manage a team of care takers, responsible for the daily care and feeding of the animals.
  • Collaborate with veterinarians and groomers for routine check-ups and maintenance of health records, including vaccinations and health records.
  • Develop and implement training programs for the animals, including sports and exhibitions.
  • Manage procurement of dog accessories globally and maintain accurate accounting records.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication strategies with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in handling various animals, including dogs and small animals.
  • Knowledge of animal behavior, nutrition, and basic medical care.
  • Physical fitness and ability to play with dogs.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Hindi and English, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Certification in Animal Handling or a related field is an asset.
  • Ability to manage a team of 20+ care takers, working in multiple shifts, 24/7.

Working Conditions

This is a 6-day working role, with occasional travel required for competitions and exhibitions.
