Job Title: Cybersecurity Infrastructure Specialist

Description:

A highly skilled Cybersecurity Infrastructure Specialist is required to join our team responsible for deploying and planning network infrastructure. The role involves delivering and deploying network/security projects and requests to enhance the client's infrastructure.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Plan, manage and deploy technology changes to support DC services ensuring high levels of security and stability
  • Deploy LAN infrastructure to support end user services requirements with robust security protocols in place
  • Patching schedules for facilities to cable network equipment, maintaining up-to-date security standards
  • Create diagrams for Network Operations to visualize security processes
  • Inventory management for all network equipment, ensuring security best practices are followed
  • Develop implementation plans for RFC's to a high level of detail, incorporating security measures
  • Document pre and post checks for change verification purposes, focusing on security compliance
  • Understand and document back out plans, clearly identifying back out points to minimize security risks
  • Identify points of no return to prevent potential security breaches
  • Support the stability and uptime of essential services by planning changes with a documented best approach mind set, prioritizing security
  • Document network estate for Operation Support and to support change planning, highlighting security considerations
  • Maintain infrastructure database with up-to-date security information

Required Skills:

  • Key Requirements:
  • Strong Cisco Routing & Switching skills with a focus on security configurations
  • CCNA or CCNP certification or equivalent experience, with a strong understanding of security principles
  • Experience with Fortinet Firewalls, including migration and management
  • Ability to handle numerous separate projects concurrently, prioritizing security tasks
  • A very organized individual with excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail, especially when it comes to security
  • Analyse, review and understand network topologies, identifying potential security vulnerabilities
  • Coordinate multiple projects, change management and governance efficiently, working both independently and as a member of a team, with a focus on security
  • Good understanding of networking principles, with a strong emphasis on security protocols
  • Good documentation skills using MS Office suite and Visio, with a focus on creating secure documents
  • Good customer facing skills with the ability to keep the customer informed at all times and understand their security requirements
  • This role is suitable for a Security Engineer who has at least 3 years of experience in a professional environment, with a strong background in security.
