We are seeking an experienced IT professional to join our team as a Cloud Engineer.

Job Description

This role involves designing, building and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and applications that support our business needs.

A successful candidate must have solid critical thinking skills, experience with container technologies and be familiar with hybrid cloud environments.

Large SaaS experience is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and analyze systems, performance, issues, and metrics to provide recommendations for continuous improvements.
  • Maintain documentation and operational knowledge base.
  • Troubleshoot incidents (Incident Management) and conduct root cause analyses.
  • Ensure 99.99%+ availability of services and infrastructure spanning multiple global data centers in private and public clouds.
  • Monitor and maintain health, performance, and security of all infrastructure components.
Requirements:
  • 3 - 6 years industry experience
  • 3+ years supporting a SaaS/Hosting type critical revenue-generating environment
  • 2+ years working with development and continuous integration related tooling (Jenkins, BitBucket, GitHub)
  • Experience in hybrid cloud and/or multi-cloud environments (GCP, Azure, AWS, VMWARE)
  • Understanding of software development processes and methodologies
  • Hands-on problem-solving skills, technical leadership and mentoring qualities
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to participate in On-Call rotation
Prioritized Skills:
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef, Salt, Ansible)
  • Significant experience with open source platforms and technologies
  • Track record of architecting, developing, implementing robust, distributed online solutions
