The role of a Technical Support Specialist involves delivering high-quality video conferencing, audio-visual, and webcasting support. This position entails ensuring seamless operations for global meetings, events, and webcasts by managing various technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Scheduling and Coordination:
- Assist in scheduling conferences and webcasts.
- Manage associated mailboxes and calendar invitations.
- Create and analyze performance metrics to optimize workflow.
- Video Call and Webcast Support:
- Verify that video endpoints are operational and functioning correctly.
- Manage incident response during active calls and webcasts, ensuring minimal disruption.
- Prepare and execute webcast events, including testing equipment and connectivity.
- Report viewer engagement metrics to inform future improvements.
- Configuration and Testing:
- Configure video conferencing codecs and streaming encoders according to technical specifications.
- Test endpoints and network devices to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.
- Review configuration files to guarantee accuracy and consistency.
- Application Support:
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for applications, including MS Teams and Vbrick, to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with Product Engineers to develop innovative solutions and enhance system functionality.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in AV support and video conferencing, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results.
- Familiarity with Cisco Video Codecs and related infrastructure, as well as other relevant technologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
