Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, maintain, and optimise the organisation's and network infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance of systems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers (e.g., Windows Server, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Monitor server performance, availability, and capacity to ensure optimal operation.
  • Perform regular backups and disaster recovery testing to safeguard data.
  • Apply patches, updates, and security configurations to servers to protect against vulnerabilities.
  • Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other server roles.
  • Implement and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices for servers and networks.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure concepts, including networking, security, and storage.
  • Proficiency in installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems, applications, and hardware.
  • Experience with monitoring tools and technologies to ensure system uptime and performance.
  • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery procedures to prevent data loss.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and protocols to protect against threats.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
