Airport Engineers design and develop airport infrastructure, including runways, taxiways, aprons, stands, roads, and parking facilities. They apply geometric design principles to create safe and efficient airfield layouts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed geometric designs for airport infrastructure
  • Develop grading plans, cut-and-fill calculations, and earthworks balance for airports
  • Produce Design drawings and BoQs extracted from BIM models
  • Design airport signing & marking layouts in accordance with international standards

Simulation & Modeling:

  • Use AviPLAN for aircraft movement simulation, apron/stand clearance checks, and taxiway layout validation
  • Conduct GSE simulations to optimize apron operations and gate service layouts

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or equivalent
  • Specialized training in airport/transportation design software is an asset
  • 4 plus years of experience in airport or transportation infrastructure design

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, AviPLAN, BIM (Navisworks), AutoTURN
  • Strong knowledge of international aviation and road design standards
