Process Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Process Design Engineer to join our globally distributed pharma project team.

The ideal candidate will support process design, simulation, documentation, and commissioning efforts under the guidance of senior engineers.

  • Develop and optimize flow chemistry and batch processes for scale-up and commercial manufacturing. This involves creating detailed designs, models, and simulations to ensure efficient and safe production.
  • Perform process design calculations (heat & mass balance, reaction kinetics, equipment sizing, pressure drop, mixing, and scale-up parameters) to identify potential issues and develop solutions.
  • Prepare and review engineering deliverables such as Block Flow Diagrams (BFDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to facilitate effective communication among stakeholders.
  • Support process safety assessments (HAZOP, risk analysis, safety studies) to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust process design and implement best practices.

Evaluate new technologies and propose innovative solutions for continuous manufacturing & flow chemistry applications. Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory guidelines, and EHS standards in process design.
