Senior Backend Software Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned senior backend software engineer to join our team. This role will involve leading the design, development, and maintenance of scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing efficient and scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js
  • Collaborating with product managers, frontend engineers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality features
  • Writing clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices
  • Optimizing application performance, security, and scalability
  • Implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for smooth deployments

You will be expected to:

  • Lead technical discussions and conduct code reviews
  • Mentor junior developers and ensure knowledge sharing within the team
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and propose improvements to architecture and processes

This role is ideal for someone who has:

  • Professional experience in backend development with a focus on Node.js
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL (preferred)
  • Familiarity with databases: SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Redis)
  • Expertise in microservices architecture and event-driven systems
  • Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization/orchestration tools
  • Familiarity with AWS/GCP/Azure cloud services

Bonus skills:

  • Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS)
  • Familiarity with Serverless (AWS Lambda, etc.)
  • Knowledge of frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) for full-stack contributions
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
