Overview
Banyantree School is seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice Principal to support the Principal in providing academic leadership, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering an inclusive, student-centered learning environment. The Vice Principal will play a vital role in driving the school's vision of holistic education, academic rigor, and overall student well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Leadership
- Oversee the effective implementation of the curriculum across all grades.
- Guide and mentor teachers to enhance instructional practices and pedagogy
- Monitor lesson planning, teaching methodologies, and classroom management.
- Ensure the quality of academic programs, assessments, and learning outcomes.
- Facilitate board classes and ensure high academic performance in CBSE examinations.
School Operations & Administration
- Support the Principal in managing day-to-day school operations.
- Oversee staff deployment, scheduling, and substitute arrangements.
- Ensure adherence to school policies, procedures, and compliance with CBSE guidelines.
- Coordinate with departments to streamline academic and co-curricular activities.
Teacher Development & Evaluation
- Conduct classroom observations, review Teacher's Diaries, and provide constructive feedback.
- Organize professional development workshops, training sessions, and mentoring programs.
- Assist in recruitment, induction, and appraisal of teachers.
Student Development & Discipline
- Promote student discipline, attendance, and overall well-being.
- Collaborate with the Guidance and Learning Support Centre for student support needs.
- Encourage participation in sports, co-curricular activities, and inter-school competitions.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong communication channels with parents, staff, and students.
- Represent the school in academic events, inspections, and external forums.
- Work closely with the Principal to implement school improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Postgraduate degree with B.Ed.
- Minimum 10–12 years of teaching experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of CBSE curriculum and educational best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
