Design Visionary Job Description

The role of a visionary design leader is to shape the visual identity of a brand across various mediums. This involves defining and evolving the visual language for all properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and refine the visual style for digital and print platforms.
  • Oversee design efforts in web, social, editorial, motion, events, spatial, and OOH formats.
  • Integrate creative AI tools into concepting, style-frames, motion pre-viz, and rapid prototyping processes.
  • Enhance video and motion by crafting cinematic title cards, lower thirds, and data-driven infographics.
  • Establish scalable design systems, asset libraries, and AI prompts that streamline quality without compromising it.
  • Mentor and empower graphic designers, motion artists, and freelancers, fostering a culture of critique and craft.

This position requires 6–10 years of experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams in media, digital publishing, or agency environments. Proficiency in Adobe CC (Ps, Ai, Id, Ae), Figma, and bonus points for Blender/C4D, Unreal, or 3-D prototyping apps are essential.

The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in AI fluency, visual mastery, storytelling, and strategy, with soft-power traits such as being a tastemaker, strategic thinker, detail-obsessive, feedback-giver, boundary-pusher, and builder of legacy.
