Job Summary:

Firmware engineer with a strong background in IoT embedded systems is needed to lead the development of firmware for devices, ensuring optimal performance and security.

  • Design and develop firmware for IoT devices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate firmware with hardware and software components
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design diagrams, code comments, and testing protocols
  • Implement automated testing and quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality firmware releases
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the field
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of firmware for IoT devices, driving the design cycle from concept to delivery
  • Maintain and improve existing firmware, addressing issues and optimizing performance
  • Work closely with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of firmware with hardware components
  • Develop and implement coding standards, guidelines, and compliance tools
  • Collaborate with global project teams and external vendors to achieve project goals
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related field
  • At least 7 years of experience in IoT embedded systems, with a strong focus on firmware development
  • Expert-level knowledge of microcontrollers, programming languages, and RTOS
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, device drivers, and interoperability
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, version control, and continuous integration
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with AWS/Google Cloud for device connectivity and IoT cloud services
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Node.js, batch, shell
  • Understanding of schematic and hardware design around microcontrollers
  • Familiarity with protocol analyzers and debugging techniques
