The role of the MES Expert involves overseeing the planning, design, configuration, development, and testing of the Opcenter application. This professional works closely with the operations team to ensure seamless implementation and maintenance of the application.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining the Siemens Opcenter application to meet company needs.
  • Analyzing, designing, configuring, developing, and testing requested functionality in the development environment.
  • Installing and configuring high-availability Opcenter applications.
  • Supporting the operations team in testing and accepting new changes in the Opcenter test environment.
  • Collaborating with the DBA team to migrate newly developed functionality to the production environment with minimal business impact.
  • Monitoring the Opcenter application to ensure normal operation in the production line.
  • Maintaining documentation for key applications.
  • FOLLOW industry-leading software development life cycle practices and company policies for Opcenter Core and Electronics.
  • Collaborating with global IT teams for MES projects and support activities.

This role requires a strong understanding of the Opcenter Core Designer and experience with leading and implementing deployments of Siemens Opcenter implementations.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • 5+ years of experience and knowledge in planning, designing, configuring, developing, implementing, and maintaining Opcenter Core and Electronics (Camstar MES) applications.
  • Experience in leading and implementing 2 or more deployments of Siemens Opcenter implementations.
  • Proficiency in Modeling, Printing & Labeling Change, CIO setting, Portal Layout Changes, and Business Rules.
  • Experience and knowledge in Opcenter Core Designer.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent preferred.
