Chief Financial Officer Job Description

The Chief Financial Officer plays a pivotal role in the organization, overseeing financial health and strategic planning.

This involves managing financial actions, including accounting and treasury activities, cash flow tracking, financial planning, and analyzing the company's financial strengths and weaknesses.

The CFO will lead the finance team and coordinate with other teams to achieve overall efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement financial strategies to support long-term goals and advise on business planning.
  2. Oversee financial reporting metrics and direct the implementation of strategic plans.
  3. Prepare and present financial statements and reports, conduct financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  4. Review MIS reports, including monthly and quarterly profit and loss analysis.
  5. Ensure efficient operation of the finance function, managing cash flow and expense control processes.
  6. Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile, monitor legal issues, and construct reliable control systems.
  7. Manage relationships with investors and investment institutions, represent the company with bankers and investors.
  8. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with regulations.
  9. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
Qualifications
  • Education: Chartered Accountant or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of financial leadership experience.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles.
    • Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
