Job Title

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Infrastructure Operations team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating and implementing infrastructure strategies, managing IT assets, and interacting with senior management on complex business issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Create and implement infrastructure strategy for the organization, including on-premise data center management and cloud deployments.
  2. Review and analyze existing infrastructure effectiveness and efficiency, and develop strategies for improvement or leveraging these systems.
  3. Negotiate purchases of software, hardware, and other IT supplies as approved by leadership.
  4. Manage inventory of software licenses, software, hardware, and other IT assets.
  5. Interact with senior management and peers on matters requiring acceptance of alternate approaches.
  6. Manage outsourced teams for daily operations and activities.
  7. Provide solutions to complex business problems requiring in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
  8. Perform live DR activities and DR drills periodically.
  9. Have working knowledge of servers, storage, databases, operating systems (Windows and Linux), and networks.
  10. Manage production incidents and ensure regulatory compliance.

Preferred Profile:

Educational Qualification:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

  1. Minimum 15 years of experience in infrastructure management, including on-premise data center and cloud infrastructure.

Skills Required:

  1. Strong program and project management skills.
  2. Ability to plan and execute infrastructure-related projects.
  3. In-depth hands-on knowledge of infrastructure, including servers, storage, databases, operating systems (Windows and Linux), and networks.
  4. Good knowledge and exposure to cloud computing.

Functional Competencies:

  1. Ability to perform infrastructure discovery assessments and transformation strategies.
  2. Holistic understanding of all data center functions, including production operations, change control, DR/business recovery, helpdesk, systems management, and facilities.
  3. Experience with private and public cloud architectures, pros/cons, and migration consideration.
