Job Overview

A skilled Database Architect is required to design and manage scalable database configurations, automate tasks, and ensure data integrity and security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement database architectures for homogeneous/heterogeneous environments.
  • Automate patch deployments, installations, and routine tasks using programming languages like SQL/T-SQL.
  • Optimize data storage, retrieval, indexing, query performance, and infrastructure to ensure high efficiency.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with application developers and system administrators to enhance database operations and interactions.
  • Develop disaster recovery strategies, cloud-based solutions, technology evolution initiatives.
  • Manage database migrations and upgrades.
  • Monitor performance, troubleshoot data corruption, long-running queries, blockings, deadlocks using various tools.
  • Handle account management, security parameters, periodical backups/recovery.
  • Document database structures, SOPs, maintain incident/crisis management processes.
  • Mentor team members drive end-to-end project management leveraging LEAN methodology optimization.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, IT related field.
  • 2-12 years experience with database architecture, configuration, performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in SQL/T-SQL index defragmentation re-indexing query optimization client/server connectivity.
  • Strong experience in automating tasks replication monitoring backup/recovery scheduling.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms shell scripting ITIL framework incident/crisis management.
  • Excellent problem-solving team collaboration presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently fast-paced environment positive attitude.
