Senior Data Infrastructure Specialist

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced data engineer to build, maintain and improve our organisation's data infrastructure. This is a critical role in our ability to process and analyse large amounts of data from billions of events every hour.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable streaming and batch pipelines for data ingestion and delivery using modern technologies such as Apache Spark.
  • Curate a robust and secure data warehouse for business and technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute to proprietary machine-learning forecasting systems that drive business growth.
  • Develop scripts and APIs that serve internal and external reporting needs, ensuring seamless data integration.
  • Investigate and test emerging data technologies to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Requirements
  • At least 4 years of experience in data engineering or software engineering.
  • Proficient in distributed data processing with Apache Spark and other big data technologies.
  • Experience designing data models, warehouses and ETL pipelines that ensure data consistency and integrity.
  • Experience with workflow management platforms such as Airflow to automate complex processes.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with cloud-based platforms such as AWS.
