Furthermore, you will need to work collaboratively with general education teachers, therapists, counsellors, and parents to support students' academic and social development. Your ability to adapt to new situations, think critically, and communicate effectively will be highly valued.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Individualised Education Plans (IEPs): Develop, implement, and regularly review IEPs tailored to each student's needs.
  • Instructional Support: Deliver customised instruction to students based on their individual needs and learning styles.
  • Curriculum Adaptation: Modify the standard curriculum to meet the abilities of students with disabilities.
  • Behaviour Management: Implement and monitor behaviour intervention plans and use positive behaviour supports.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with general education teachers, therapists, counsellors, and parents to support students' academic and social development.
  • Progress Monitoring: Assess and track student performance and progress regularly, adjusting goals accordingly.

**Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or P.G. Diploma or Master's degree in Special Education or equivalent in Multiple Disabilities.
  • 3 to 7 years working with children and adults with multiple disabilities.
  • Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and assistive aids and devices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Good organisational and documentation skills.
  • Proficient in English and Tamil.
  • Familiarity with assistive technology and specialised instructional strategies.
