Job Opportunity:Retail Material Manager
Description:The Retail Material Manager oversees the daily operations of the retail material inventory, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include managing receipts, storage, issuance, and record maintenance for raw materials.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day activities of the retail material store, including receipt, storage, issuance, and documentation of raw materials.
  • Evaluate inventory levels to maintain optimal stock quantities and prevent overstocking or understocking.
  • Monitor storage conditions (temperature, humidity, cleanliness) to ensure material quality and shelf life.
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, and quality teams to guarantee timely availability of raw materials without disrupting operations.
  • Maintain a first-in-first-out (FIFO) or first-expired-first-out (FEFO) system for material issuance to minimize waste and optimize inventory turnover.
  • Verify inventory accuracy through regular stock counts and reconciliation of physical versus system stock records.
  • Identify slow-moving, non-moving, or expired raw materials and coordinate their disposal according to established guidelines.
  • Serve as a liaison during audits (internal/external) by ensuring accurate documentation and maintaining a prepared environment.
  • Provide guidance and training to store assistants/handlers on proper material handling procedures, safety protocols, and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Science, Commerce, or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in retail material management, preferably in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or manufacturing industries.
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or Tally, and ability to utilize them effectively.
  • Understanding of inventory management techniques (FIFO, FEFO, Just-In-Time) and ability to apply them in a dynamic environment.
  • Awareness of ISO 13485, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and relevant regulatory requirements for raw material handling.
