Senior Manager Quality Assurance Job Description

This is a senior leadership position that requires the development and implementation of quality assurance strategies across multiple projects.

  • We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager QA to lead our software testing teams in ensuring high-quality software delivery.
Job Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the delivery of high-quality software by developing and implementing quality assurance strategies.
  2. Develop and maintain robust and scalable software applications using Java technologies.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, and translate them into technical specifications.
  4. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following coding best practices and standards.
  5. Conduct unit testing and debugging of applications to ensure software quality and reliability.
  6. Participate in code reviews to provide and receive constructive feedback.
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  8. Collaborate with team members to continuously improve software development processes and practices.
  9. Contribute to the documentation of software designs, technical specifications, and user guides.

Provide technical support and guidance to other team members when required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science (B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech) or MCA.
  • A minimum of 15+ years of experience in software testing, with both manual and automation testing expertise.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in managing software testing projects, with previous experience as a QA Manager or Test Architect.

Key Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Software Development and Testing Life Cycles, including Agile methodologies.
  • Proficient in various testing techniques (Functional, Regression, Performance, Security, UI Responsive).
  • Experience with automation and performance testing tools (Selenium, LoadRunner, JMeter).
  • Proven ability to manage and mentor QA teams of 20+ members.
  • Skilled in root cause analysis (RCA) and incident trend analysis.
  • Knowledge of BDD, CI/CD processes, and data-driven testing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with programming (Core Java), databases (SQL, Oracle), and test management tools (JIRA).
  • Expertise in parallel test execution using Selenium WebDriver and related tools.
