Role Overview:

The Credit Analysis position involves conducting comprehensive credit assessments for real estate clients, evaluating their fund-based and non-fund-based exposures. This entails preparing detailed proposal notes, ensuring clearance from credit sanctioning committees, and engaging with clients to understand their requirements.

  • Conduct in-depth credit analysis of real estate clients, considering working capital, overdraft/cash credit, term loans, letters of credit, and bank guarantees.
  • Prepare thorough proposal notes and obtain clearance from credit sanctioning committees.
  • Evaluate prospective customers and markets, understanding client needs and structuring proposals/deals within established credit guidelines.
  • Monitor economic and industry developments, as well as client financial parameters, to identify potential risk triggers or stress signs.
  • Perform detailed credit and background reference checks on all prospective clients.
  • Present cases to sanctioning committees for approval, aligning with organizational policies.
  • Maintain joint portfolio monitoring with account relationship teams based on early warning systems.
  • Develop risk/rating sheets and provide recommendations to approving committees.
  • Approve cases within delegated powers and continuously monitor the portfolio for early warning signals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Evaluation: Meet with clients, evaluate their financial health, and assess their creditworthiness.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare detailed proposal notes and ensure clearance from credit sanctioning committees.
  • Risk Assessment: Monitor economic and industry developments, as well as client financial parameters, to detect potential risk triggers or stress signs.
  • Portfolio Monitoring: Jointly monitor the portfolio with account relationship teams based on early warning systems.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and credit risk management principles.
