Job Description

We are seeking an experienced investment professional to manage a team of researchers and analysts. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, be ultra-competitive in a positive team context, and possess excellent communication skills.

  • Develop and implement effective investment strategies by analyzing market trends, conducting thorough research, and identifying potential opportunities.
  • Monitor and manage investment risk by staying up-to-date with market developments and maintaining a deep understanding of the financial industry.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on fund performance to stakeholders, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders through exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Conduct in-depth research on potential investment opportunities, including analysis of company and regulatory filings, competitor analysis, and interviewing management teams and industry experts.
  • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate the potential risks and returns of various investment options, helping to identify attractive opportunities.
  • Support due diligence efforts by gathering and organizing information on prospective investments, including company profiles, competitive landscapes, and regulatory considerations.
  • Manage, mentor, and guide a team of research and data analysts along with other fund managers.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A strong educational background in finance or a related field, such as CA, CFA (US), or MBA (Finance).
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in fund management roles.
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative capabilities, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Demonstrated interest in and passion for financial markets, with a commitment to staying up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Painfully high levels of curiosity and skepticism, with a focus on thinking from first principles and focusing on the investment process rather than just the outcome.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in research, and effective interpersonal skills with a desire to work with a team.
