Capital Expenditure Management Professional

A Capital Expenditure (Capex) Manager is responsible for overseeing the evaluation, acquisition, and management of capital projects. This role involves analyzing financial data, preparing cost-benefit analyses, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring that all Capex purchases align with strategic goals.

This position requires a combination of financial acumen, analytical skills, and knowledge of procurement processes. Below is a detailed job description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate potential sources and vendors for capital projects, prepare alternate Vendor lists, and conduct RFI/RFQs to support Category management.
  • Understand contracts, basic terms, and transactional maintenance of contracts on ERP or subsequent tools.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of Capex projects.

Financial Analysis and Planning:

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis and cost-benefit studies for proposed capital expenditures.
  • Assist in preparations of Project Estimations.

Project Management:

  • Monitor project progress and expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets and timelines.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on project status, budget performance, and potential risks.

Maintain accurate records of all capital expenditures, contracts, and related documentation.

Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications are a plus.
