About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our DevOps efforts, responsible for planning, designing, and managing cloud infrastructure for high-traffic workloads. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as experience with AWS and DevOps technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, manage, maintain, and support cloud infrastructure for high-traffic workloads that operate at an enterprise scale.
- Drive automation of tasks and implementation of infrastructure services.
- Identify and rectify potential risks within the infrastructure, network, or security.
- Research, setup, testing, and implementation of technologies and solutions to improve the performance, reliability, availability, security, and efficiency of infrastructure on AWS.
- Troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, and work closely with developers to implement corrective/preventive actions during and after an incident.
- Design software architecture skills for maintaining High Availability and Fault Tolerance.
- Document and audit DevOps practices.
- Provide leadership and directions to DevOps engineers.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Strong Analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- 7+ years of overall experience in managing cloud infrastructure, including 1+ year in a Lead DevOps role.
- Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes (EKS preferred) and related cluster components such as logging, metrics, security, RBAC, autoscaling, etc.
- Expertise in DevOps technologies like Ansible, Terraform, Salt, Bash Scripting, CI/CD, etc.
- Good programming experience with at least one of the following languages: Python, Java, or Go.
- Experienced in a 24x7x365 uptime Amazon AWS environment leveraging git repositories and CI/CD tools like TeamCity.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issues.
- Experience working with observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus preferred).
- Knowledge of best practices and cloud security (AWS Well-Architected Framework).
- Comfortable working in an agile environment with a globally-distributed team.
- Good to have knowledge of logging and tracking issues in JIRA.
