Leading Engineering Team

We are seeking an accomplished leader to spearhead our engineering team. As a seasoned Engineering Manager, you will oversee multiple projects simultaneously, build and manage diverse teams of engineers, formulate strategies, and collaborate with other managers.

The ideal candidate will own product and project commitments, participate in roadmap discussions, provide inputs on design, modeling, and architectural decisions, drive project estimations, and implement high-quality solution delivery and technology upgrades.

Team Leadership

You will lead teams in the development of new products, solutions, and processes, driving efficiency and productivity to produce high-quality output. Create designs that improve the flexibility, functionality, and usability of system components, define NFRs, and build systems that meet these requirements.

Perform design and code reviews, oversee project logistics, and allocate resources effectively. Utilize tools and techniques to enhance code quality and design, focusing on constant reduction of code debt.

Collaboration and Mentorship

Collaborate with other team leaders and departments, building and developing the required competence in the team. Mentor team members, preparing them for possible future roles.

Experience and Portfolio

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, with around 7 to 15 years of total experience working on delivery, development, and team management. Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience in working with EVM, Android-related technologies, and frontend technologies like EMV knowledge, Android POS development experience.

Good understanding of commonly used databases like SQL and NoSQL is essential. Proficiency in explaining complex information to non-technical management personnel and other stakeholders is necessary.

Technical Skills and Efficiency

Personnel and project management skills are essential, along with expert-level knowledge of sector technology and processes. Organizational, planning, and documentation skills are necessary, as well as proficiency in explaining complex information to non-technical management personnel and other stakeholders.

Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneously is crucial, with past use of Agile/Scrum or similar collaborative tools being a plus.

Communication and Ownership

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, with the ability to build relationships with candidates and stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple roles and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Adaptability

Comfortable with dynamic requirements and able to pivot recruitment strategies as needed.
