Job Title: Director - School of Governance

We are seeking a visionary leader to head the School of Governance. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the school's medium and long-term academic and research direction, as well as providing leadership to the teaching and non-teaching staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Planning: Develop a comprehensive strategic plan for the Institute, incorporating operational and financial plans, and ensuring alignment with the vision and mission.
  2. Curriculum Development: Design high-quality curriculum that meets the needs of governance with a global perspective and is comparable to the best in the country.
  3. Social Initiatives: Lead and drive various social initiatives, including NLC, Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad, National Teachers Congress, and others.
  4. Faculty Development: Plan and implement faculty development programs to ensure that faculty members are kept abreast of latest developments in their respective areas of specialization.
  5. Community Engagement: Foster engagement with the society at large to understand its changing needs and incorporate them into the curriculum.
  6. Policy Tracking: Track local, regional, and national legislative and policy issues related to governance and develop strategies to keep stakeholders informed.
Requirements:
  • PhD in Political Science/Public Policy/Law
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Academic Leadership
  • Age less than 50 years

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to think strategically and deliver operationally
  • Demonstrated success in coordinating stakeholders and developing relationships
  • Physical requirements: sufficient mobility and stamina
