CAD Design Specialist

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed 2D and 3D drawings and models of mechanical, electrical, architectural, or other components and assemblies.
This role is focused on generating high-quality CAD designs that meet the needs of various industries. To achieve this, you will work closely with engineers and designers to clarify design details and ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings.
Some of the key responsibilities of this position include:
- Generating 2D and 3D drawings and models based on sketches, specifications, and verbal instructions from engineers and designers.
- Modifying existing CAD designs based on engineering change orders (ECOs) or markups.
- Ensuring all drawings and models comply with relevant industry standards, company drafting standards, and regulatory requirements.
You will also be responsible for maintaining an accurate and up-to-date library of CAD drawings and related documents. Additionally, you will generate accurate Bills of Materials from CAD models and drawings.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have proficiency in required CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor). You must also be able to communicate effectively with engineers, designers, and potentially shop floor personnel regarding drawing details and revisions.
