Senior CAD Design Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior CAD Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing detailed 2D/3D CAD models and drawings for sheet metal components.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability, structural integrity, and compliance with industry standards. Your expertise in SolidWorks will be instrumental in creating accurate designs that meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Development: Interpret project briefs and customer drawings to develop manufacturable designs using SolidWorks.
  • CAD Modeling: Create accurate 2D and 3D CAD models for base frames, acoustic canopies, electrical cabinets, and portable light towers.
  • Design Optimization: Ensure feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and design intent alignment.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience: 10+ years of hands-on experience as a CAD Designer in a sheet metal manufacturing environment.
  • SolidWorks Expertise: Expertise in Part, Assembly, Drawing, and Sheet Metal modules.
  • Other Skills: Familiarity with fabrication and welding techniques, weld joints, symbols, and sequencing, manufacturing limitations, and tolerances.
