Credit Risk Management Lead

The role involves overseeing the credit evaluation and control function to ensure timely collection of receivables, minimize credit risk, and maintain a healthy cash flow that supports business growth and customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of experienced credit controllers across head office and regional offices.
  • Develop and implement credit control procedures and strategies to manage divisional credit exposure.
  • Establish governance mechanisms and define key performance indicators for performance monitoring of the credit evaluation and control function.
Cash Flow & Financial Coordination:
  • Collaborate with the finance function to ensure healthy cash flow for the division, driving return on capital employed and working capital optimization, receivables forecasting accuracy, and reduction in days sales outstanding.
Reporting & Analytics:
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for leadership, regional sales managers, and zonal sales managers to enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Prepare relevant reports and factsheets as per leadership requirements, including collection performance summaries, aging analysis, and exception reports.
Operational Oversight:
  • Coach and support the credit evaluation and control team in managing day-to-day activities using the accounts receivable solution.
  • Promote the expeditious collection of doubtful debts through a defined escalation workflow and timely exception handling.
