Senior Drainage Engineer Role Summary

\

The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in water sector drainage engineering and experience in leading drainage projects through various stages of the design process.

\

Responsibilities include preparation of designs, technical checking, training and mentoring junior staff, lead design review meetings, prepare fee estimates and project scopes, and manage a small team with line management responsibilities.

\

Achieving these responsibilities requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with clients and other stakeholders.

\

Mandatory Skills and Qualifications

  • \
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience within a consultancy environment\
  • Proven track record of dealing with clients and forging effective relationships\
  • Mentoring and guiding junior staff\
  • Good written and verbal communication skills\
  • Experience of working to UK standards\
  • Adept in the use of AutoCAD, Microstation & Civil3D\
  • Proficient in use of standard MS Office software and Causeway Flow/MicroDrainage\
  • Chartered Engineer or working towards becoming a Chartered Engineer within 1-2 years\
  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering/Environmental/Water Resources Engineering\
  • Causeway Flow, Drainage, Civil 3D, Project Engineering Management, Infodrainage\
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D and Causeway Flow/Infodrainage\
  • Team Lead and Line management responsibilities\
  • Project scopes and utilisation forecasts\
  • Manage resources allocation on Projects\
  • Work close woth Team Lead to set out developmental goals for Team\
  • Engage and work with the Lead region. Ability to secure Projects and improve the Team utilisation.\
