Compliance Specialist Role

A key member of the GRC team is required to implement a governance, risk management and compliance system for clients. The role focuses on policy compliance, security requirements governance and risk management.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop client initiatives to reduce technology risk, improve governance and ensure compliance with policies and external regulations.
  • Evaluate business and IT risks to identify potential threats.
  • Design and implement IT security standards, procedures and controls to manage risks, improving client security through process improvement, policy automation and continuous evolution.
  • Analyze information security threats and their impact on clients' IT environments.
  • Support senior team members in analyzing requirements and designing clients' information security postures.
  • Contribute to delivering work streams for clients in compliance standards such as PCI DSS, ISO 27001, EU GDPR and Bahrain PDPL.
  • Perform internal and external information security risk assessments, evaluating incidents, vulnerability management and secure baselines.
  • Document and report control failures and gaps to stakeholders, providing remediation guidance.
  • Stay up-to-date on best practices and technological advancements, serving as a technical resource for security assessment and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned based on business requirements.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in IT Governance, Risk & Compliance.
  • Understanding of ISO 27001, PCI DSS, ITIL, ITSM and COBIT standards preferred.
  • Experience with risk management principles and associated methodologies.
  • Ideal qualifications include CEH, CISSP, CISA or CISM.
  • Proven ability to make sound decisions under tight timelines.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to drive change collaboratively both internally and externally.
