BMC Truesight Administrator

We are seeking an experienced BMC TrueSight Operations Management professional to fill this key role.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the installation, upgrade, integration, administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of BMC TrueSight Operations Management, with experience in Patrol Agents on various OS platforms, as well as knowledge modules like DB, Websphere, Exchange, Sentry hardware, and Sentry monitoring studio.

  • Mandatory Skills:
    • Principles of BMC TrueSight Operations Management installation, upgrade, integration, administration, configuration (Especially with version 10.x & later)
    • Good experience in installation of Patrol Agents on Windows, RHEL, AIX, Solaris OS
    • Basics in working on knowledge modules like DB, Websphere, Exchange, Sentry hardware, Sentry monitoring studio etc. along with basic KMs like OS, LOG, URL
    • Troubleshooting skills to resolve Patrol Agent, TrueSight server component issues
    • Knowledge in Event Management policy Administration, configuration
    • Working knowledge of MRLs, custom classes
    • Knowledge of Datacenter IT Infrastructure components, Unix, Windows OS, Virtualization
  • Desired Competencies:
    • Good to have working knowledge of custom KMs
    • Infrastructure knowledge on Operating system and Database
    • Good communication skills set, Understand and clear communication to the business on impact of major incidents
    • Excellent problem analysis skill set

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot BMC TrueSight Operations Management
  • Administer and manage Patrol Agents on various OS platforms
  • Work on knowledge modules like DB, Websphere, Exchange, Sentry hardware, and Sentry monitoring studio
  • Develop and maintain custom KMs
  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to Patrol Agent, TrueSight server components
