Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily P&L production and evaluation, ensuring the integrity of the balance-sheet for transaction banking cash management and trade products.
  • Understand transactions booked in trade products and cash management business from a commercial perspective, including return on risk-weighted assets (RWA).
  • Develop controls to ensure consistent pass-through rates (PTR) in cash management business.
  • Have a deep understanding of various trade products such as working capital loans, trade loans, open account financing, and import/export trade products related to letters of credit.
  • Review and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly net interest margin (NIM) fluctuations across countries and balance sheet movements.
  • Review new deals and revenue recognition in line with IFRS 9 and IFRS 15 accounting standards.
  • Engage actively with stakeholders across multiple functions and represent product control in various forums.
  • Oversee and review BAU controls, reporting, and escalation processes.
  • Produce periodic management information (MI) packs with commentaries.
  • Establish best practices across various product control processes, streamlining and automation.
  • Review key control indicators (KCI) and control sample testing (CST).
  • Support control and governance, external audits, and regulators' queries.
  • Support new business initiatives and help execute on management strategies.
  • Lead project delivery and represent product control in project forums.

The Successful Candidate

  • Hold a degree level qualification; preferably chartered accountant (CA), chartered financial analyst (CFA), or master's in business administration (MBA) in finance.
  • Product control experience managing banking book portfolios.
  • Strong command over IFRS 9 and IFRS 15.
  • Able to work under constant pressure to tight deadlines and deliver high-quality output.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical, innovative, and questioning mindset.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience, with most recent 3 years in product control.
