Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our data engineering group, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, and big data tools such as BigQuery, Airflow, and CI/CD with Google Cloud. They will also have strong programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL, and Java, as well as experience with data visualization tools like Tableau and R.

In this role, you will work closely with our data science team to build complex algorithms that provide unique insights into our data. You will also use agile software development processes to make iterative improvements to our back-end systems.

You will model front-end and back-end data sources to help draw a more comprehensive picture of user flows throughout the system and to enable powerful data analysis. Additionally, you will develop models that can be used to make predictions and answer questions for the overall business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain large-scale data pipelines using tools such as BigQuery, Airflow, and CI/CD with Google Cloud.
  • ETL Process Management: Build and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
  • Data Visualization: Use data visualization tools like Tableau and R to create interactive dashboards and reports.
  • Agile Software Development: Use agile software development processes to make iterative improvements to our back-end systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related discipline.
  • 3 or more years of experience with Python, SQL, and data visualization/exploration tools.
  • Familiarity with the Big Data & Google Cloud ecosystem.
  • Experience with professional certification.
  • Strong communication skills, especially for explaining technical concepts to non-technical business leaders.
