Pastry Cook Position

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our culinary team.

  • Prepare high-quality pastry and dessert menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Operate in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with the ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Collaborate with the Pastry Chef Tournant to maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Contribute to the success of our pastry department by consistently producing excellent results and meeting deadlines.
  • Assist with setting up pastry displays on buffets as needed, ensuring visually appealing presentations.
  • Support the transportation of food items from main stores to the pastry galley when required.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized working area and utensils at all times, adhering to United States Public Health rules and regulations.
  • Be aware of and/or acquire necessary knowledge to comply with ship's standard operation, assist guests and crew members with inquiries.
  • Attend meetings, training activities, courses, and other work-related activities as required.
  • Perform related duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years' experience as a Pastry Cook in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship, or convention banqueting service (shipboard experience preferred).
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements, and equipment use.
  • Completion of high school or basic education equivalency requirement.
