Job Title

A Senior Mechanical Engineer is required to lead the MEP design team in delivering high-quality projects.

  • The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of local and international design standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Responsibilities include conducting sound calculations for mechanical water supply, hot water systems, fire-fighting, air-conditioning, ventilation, and solid waste management.
  • The engineer will design and develop MEP infrastructures with expertise in flood risk analysis and mitigation.
  • Key tasks involve coordinating space planning and schematic design of systems, managing LIFTS traffic analysis, and preparing/reviewing DBR & Concept design reports.
  • Working with HAP software, Storm CAD, and HECRAS software for design and review purposes is essential.
  • The engineer will review design documents from service consultants and coordinate with other services like electrical, ELV, FA, PA, CCTV, BMS, and communication systems.
  • Maintaining good understanding of architectural and structural drawings and design intent is crucial.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders, reviewing design/shop drawings, and material submittals are also key responsibilities.
  • Site visits, responding to RFI and queries, and coordinating with commercial and procurement teams are necessary.
  • Participating in meetings, technical reviews, and document preparation for authority submissions is an important aspect of the job.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Core MEP design experience of 8-14 years in mechanical services.
  • Public health engineering, fire fighting, and HVAC services experience in MEP real estate projects.
  • AutoCAD knowledge for reviewing drawings and basic drafting skills.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Good communication and decision-making skills.
  • Team player with a positive approach to change.
